The following day we hit a few more shrines, starting with a famous Zen Garden!
the garden had a beautiful garden before the actual rocks.

Can you see her? |
Spoilers below!

A closer look! |
One of my tour mates made a comment about how Japan loves stairs. I guess so because A lot of my photos are of stairs!
The actual Zen garden was really rad! There are 15 large rocks in total but no matter where you stand or sit you can't see all of them at once. It's an exercise to show you, you have to be happy with what you have. In this case, you have to be happy with what you see!

Our next stop was the Golden Pavilion! Yes its actually painted gold!
 |
Did they use the same gold paint the CMC used in Babs Seed? |
 |
It's actually quite breathtaking! |
Next was Nijo Castle!
 |
Applejack stalking through the hedges in front of the castle. Sneaking in Ninja styles! |
There was no photography allowed inside the castle so the next photos are from a raised platform area where you could see the castle grounds. The greenery is SO dense you can't even tell you're in the middle of the city! Even this high up!

Look at that view! |
